Why is breakfast important?

Breakfast is the very important meal of the day, because it gets your day started well.
Breakfast gets your day started with a boost of energy which goes up into your brain as an awesome kick start for the day well.
At Tamaki intermediate, the school provides us with breakfast twice a week so those children who never had breakfast in the morning can have one. This programme is really helpful.
It helps our kids do well in the morning and through out the day because it gives us lots of energy.

Christchurch earthquake

Tears falling on graves as hundreds of people couldn’t be saved; survivors are lucky and still be with their loves one, others still live with the pain inside struggling to get over what had happened to their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.

Saddest memory!!!!!

Tears dropped, eyes swollen and nothing being heard except the roaring echoes of sadness through out the night. It was a tragic night and the saddest night ever for my family. My whole family were home including my aunties and uncles because my grandma was sick.
My mum and dad and we children were getting ready to go to church because my parents were involved in a very important meeting. My mom got dressed; I was outside waited for everyone to be ready when I heard my auntie screamed. We rushed upstairs and found my poor nana on the floor.
Nana was rushed to the hospital and we were on our way to church. It wasn’t long before the phone rang. I could hear the echo of my auntie’s voice from the other side and immediately I knew it was my nana. Tears poured out of my mum’s face.
We rushed to the hospital. I felt like I got butterflies circled inside my stomach. We got there and out we ran like a marathon race. Finally we reached the emergency room and there she was laid beautifully on her bed. She was rested there all night. Everyone was poured their heart out because they had lost their mother, and my loving grandmother.
It was a long sad night to everyone. I will never forget that night.

Class Report, Term 3 2010!!!!!

These subjects listed below are the subjects we have been learning in class:
• Unit Studies
• Reading
• Language Skills
• Draft Writing
• Maths
Unit Studies:
In Unit Studies room6 has been learning about disasters and what to do in a crisis or how to prepare for a crisis, our class has been enjoying learning about how to survive in a disaster.

Reading:
Room6 has been learning how to make 3D projects and our top reading group has completed this task, the 3D projects came out prefect and beautiful. The other reading groups have been learning about prediction reading and guided reading.

Language skills:
For language skills, we have been learning about word classes, and we have been going to Te Reo Maori and learning how to ask questions in Maori. It has been very interesting in Te Reo Maori we have been working well together and trying to understand the questions.

Draft writing:
Room6 has been learning how to write a cameo and explanation piece of writings, it has been a very interesting term and really fun too because we were able to make up simple poems, explanation and procedural writing. The chocolate cake demonstration was the best one because we were able to see it step by step which makes it easier for us to write it in no time.

Maths:
In maths, room6 has been learning how to do long equations and how to find the answers to the equations, it was a struggle at first but we can work the answers out now physically and sometimes mentally.
Statement overall: Over all room6 has been achieving their goals and improving in their classroom works and we just need to focus a little bit more on our attitudes.

My friend!!!

She is a person that tells the truth even though it hurts and sometimes annoying. She dreams about things in life thinking it will occur just like that. It’s hard for me to stay away from her even though she drives me crazy at times. She is loud, cheerful and very chatty but she is a friend that I like to hang around with.
